First of all, we wanted to make sure that all parents knew that Friday is a PD day and there are NO classes.  Teachers will be working hard to learn new techniques and strategies to help their students.

Today in writing we added to our Journals about what we wanted to do in Grade 1 or 2.  We learned what "TURNING OVER A NEW LEAF" meant and we each made a goal to make ourselves better students.


Thursday is the Welcome Back Picnic and the food trucks will arrive around 5:30.  Please remember that sometimes the line ups are really long and you can also bring your own picnic or food.  Ms. Betty is looking forward to seeing you there!

Today we learned to take care of our crayons by reading "The Day The Crayons Quit".  It was a very funny book.  Everyone laughed when we got to the page about the peach crayon.  Ask me why....  Ha ha ha...

We also learned what a good copy is and made our very own using a journal entry.  You will see our work up in the hall on Thursday.
