Tomorrow is PJ day

Students can wear PJ's tomorrow and bring a small stuffie if they wish.

We will be having a movie in the gym in afternoon.

JINGLING ALL THE WAY!

We are learning JINGLE BELLS in Music as well as in sign language (just the chorus in sign language)!
We are performing it at the caroling assembly at 9:15 on Wednesday next week.

It is going to be very exciting.  Please watch the video  to practice at home.

Music Sharing Class

SHARING CLASS IS COMING!

Students in Room 13 will have a Music Sharing Class on Monday, December 16^th during their music time. Students are welcome to share something music-related like a piano piece, a song or a dance. If your child has something to share, please help them prepare and remember to bring what they need on their performance day. If you have any questions, please e-mail Ms. Nair at canair@cbe.ab.ca.

Library information

Winter Break Book Return

This year we are asking that all student library books be returned to the library by Monday, December 16^th. We are hoping that having all the books come back before the break, will help to assure there are less books that get lost. The library will still be open Mon – Wed next week for students to come and enjoy some reading time, but there will not be any book exchange.

Tomorrow is our library day - please remember to return your books!

Patterns sign and return / Toque day tomorrow

Please look in the red folders for an assessment we completed last week in Math class.
We are continuing to to do work on patterns and shapes this month.

Tomorrow is TOQUE day.

What have we learned today?

We learned about the eagle. In the Seven Sacred Teachings, the eagle teaches us love and protection. We watched The Three Little Pigs, acted out the story, and worked on beginnings. In music, we played the song ‘Sleigh Ride’ with cups.

Any AHA! Moments?

In music, we learned that part of the rhythm with cups is created with your hands and not just the floor.

What do you want to share with your parents?

Grade 2’s had a math quiz on adding double digit numbers.
