Today in Room 13 we wrote about our holidays.
We created New Years Resolutions - these we are still working on - we will post some tomorrow after we are done!
In Math we reviewed our basic Math facts.
Grade 1's explored the commutative property of addition when we discovered that you can reverse the addends in a sum and the answer will be the same. Grade 1's worked on making 10 in a variety of ways.
Grade 2's reviewed the commutative property rule from last year and found out how many different sums there are that make 18.
Grade 1's each made 11 flashcards altogether. (Total sums that make 10)
Grade 2's each made 19 flashcards altogether. (Total sums that make 18)
The rest of the day we worked on our new nametags for our coathooks. Our old ones were getting very worn and we wanted to add some color!
