Celebration of Learning - this Thursday
1:30 – 2:30, and 4:00 – 6:00
This week, students will be sharing their learning in their classrooms on Thursday. Please find a time to come and explore Room 13's Museum of Calgary, Alberta and Canada - inspired by some of the exhibits we saw at Fort Calgary. There will be some Math games as well as a chance explore some of of our amazing robotics work we completed with our big buddies from Room 24! Students are very excited!
Gymnastics
This week we will be exploring the Canadian Climber as part of our gymnastics unit. Please ensure students come to school appropriately attired. Here is a review of what went home in the weekly message:
All classrooms will be following the Heads to Toe, ready to go, guidelines to
ensure that all students are dressed appropriately to participant. Please encourage
your child to come to school ready to participate in gymnastics everyday until Wednesday, February 12. Putting in hair ties, removing jewelry, tucking in shirts,
rolling up pants, and removing shoes can all happen before participating in physical
education class. Thank you for your support.
Head to Toe, ready to go
Head – long hair pulled back
Ears/Throat/Wrist – no jewelry
Shirt – one layer
Waist – tucked in
Pants – sporty pants (tight fitting)
Ankles – ankles showing (rolled up pants)
Toes – barefeet or shoes
ArtFelt Residency
We will be exploring ArtFelt in the month of February through our artist in residency program.
Room 13 will participating the morning of February 5. We need parent volunteers for this day to assist and would love your help! Please use the following link to sign up:
We are also working on an ArtFelt mural on Tuesday/Thursday March 3 &5 from 11:15-12:00pm.
