IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING STUDENT BELONGINGS

Thanks to all the families who have communicated encouraging and thoughtful comments in the last few days.  I will be getting back to you in the near future...  I miss you all and would love to hear how students are doing -

Down below you will find an email that was emailed out to all families - I'm posting it again in case anyone did not receive it.
Please read it carefully in preparation if you plan to come to the school.

I've added a list so that you may understand what materials you are bringing home and how they can be used.  In your child's bin you will find materials that will assist you in continuing their learning from home:

Things you may keep:
Raz Kids / IRIS student id and password . ** This is important to keep handy. ***
Music Reflection - fill out and complete.  Ms Nair does not need them back.
Animal Story plan - please keep this handy - students should be working on finishing them - I have not yet decided how students will share this.  More information to follow.
Indigenous Art and tally chart - students can finish these.  I will post the slide show we used in class about the art to assist in this in the near future.
Shadow Math - sorry, these beautiful objects had to folded - we did not finish them - students can decorate and measure their actual height if you wish.  This was going to be a hallway presentation for interviews...
Spiral orange gridded Math book - you may use this as you wish - most books are full by now.  There is a handy chart in the cover for the spelling of number words if you wish to work on this.

*Things to return when school resumes:
I would appreciate the following items returned if school is back in session before the end of June:

*I Love Math - these books were just started for our new Math groups in class.  You may use them for your own math exploration.

*Desk Nametag-  Please keep on hand for printing practice and encourage proper formation of letters - top to bottom.

*Playdough - we use this for word work - making letters or drawing words right into it

*White laminated journal - this is our weekly journal

*Orange laminated journal - this is where we practice spelling and word work exploration

(I may have miss somethings and some bins may have more or less than this list - most students should have these materials to the best of my knowledge.)

Collection of Student Belongings

Hello CJP families,
Please see in the schedule below the pick-up times for you to pick-up your child’s personal belongings and return library and home reading materials.
We have divided the pick-up times into several sessions to assist with social distancing. We respectfully request that only ONE parent enter the school to reduce the number of people visiting the building. We recommend that children stay home as this will likely be a difficult time for them to remain a safe distance away from peers and friends, however, this remains a parent decision as we are not allowed to restrict student access to the building for belonging pick-up.
Please bring a backpack or shopping bag as most children have many items that will need to be taken home. Please do NOT take the bin holding your child’s items.  All lost and found items will also be in the gym.
If your child has medication stored at school, please check in with the teacher who will be at a table in the hall. They will be able to provide you with your child’s medications.
If you are unable to pick-up at your scheduled time, please plan to pick-up in the additional times scheduled.
If you are only dropping off library books and home reading materials, a bin will be located at the front entrance for these items. Personal items (Inside Shoes) not picked up will remain at the school for pick-up when school resumes. School work remaining will be recycled.
Please plan to enter through the unlocked front doors and proceed directly to the gym where all belongings are located. We ask that you exit through the gym doors (south or east).
Thank you
