We had a blast with our 100 object collections.
We first recounted them by grouping them by 10s.
Then we made them into a long line.
Using blocks of 10 unifix cubes we measured the length of each line.
Then we recorded our findings on a graph.
We learned how to mark each 10 on the line in case we lost our spot.
We learned how to use the same measure over and over by placing our finger and moving the measure down.
We learned that marbles should be lined up on the floor as they roll off the table!
This morning we thought about what would happen if we had 100 of a certain object.
Ms. Betty would like to have 100 giraffes!
Some other things we wrote about in our journals was having 100:
Games on my iPad
Clouds
Dollars
Metal
Rubber Duckies
Pieces of Pie
Pieces of Chocolate
Alicorn (something like a Unicorn! A Unicorn with wings, apparently!)
Hens that lay golden eggs
Baby breath flowers
Hallways
Doors
Unicorn
Dots and Circles
Have a great 100 hundred day of after school. Ha ha! :)
