(First of all, the TWAS journals will go home on Monday - please sign them and return them to school. Thanks!)
Students in room 13 have been working hard looking at what makes up a sentence.
Grade 1s are focussing on including capitals and periods. The last few weeks we have looked at subjects and actions to make sure our sentences make sense.
Grade 2s are taking it a step further and using their senses to add details to their writing.
We have started new writing goals this month. We created some very fun similes about squirrels. We decided we had a squirrel with "ears like little burnt marshmallows". Super fun!
We will be exploring the fascinating life of the squirrel as the year goes on.
Here is our very own squirrel friend, guarding the squirrel books.
